EARTH DAY FESTIVAL – Sunday 22nd April 1pm – 9pm

Join Surfrider Pacific Rim & Wickaninnish Inn for this years annual MUP clean up of the storm drains and help raise awareness to reduce litter on the streets ending up clogging storm drains, and polluting the beaches and ocean. Make your own instrument made from marine debris for FREE entry into the theater for award winning film night “Landfill Harmonic”

Festival Details:
1 – 4pm: Multi Use Pathway (MUP) STORM DRAIN clean up!
Choose a clean up station below, and collect the most garbage on your station and be entered to win an EARTH DAY AWARD!!!!
Bring your own gloves, and vessels to drink with for free refreshments and highfives! Buckets & stoke provided.

4 – 6pm: GROMS!!! Make your own musical instrument from collected debris, and bring to the Clayoquot theater for FREE entry to the film event, and enter the competition!

6 – 9pm: Film Event: LANDFILL HARMONIC
Join us at Clayoquot Sound Theatre with the Surfrider Foundation USSyouth club, and learn about their waste free projects aswell as showcasing your own musical instrument made from debris!
Presentation followed by award winning documentary Landfill Harmonic. “Landfill Harmonic follows the Recycled Orchestra of Cateura, a Paraguayan musical group that plays instruments made entirely out of garbage. When their story goes viral, the orchestra is catapulted into the global spotlight. ”
Doors open 6pm for refreshments, event starts 630pm!
Tickets Adults $10, kids under 10yrs $5 or FREE with homemade instruments from debris!! Door prizes and competition winners!
